Website, socials & email management
Challenge: Bridge NSW needed marketing and communications support for their newly formed organisation.
Solution: Across two days a week, I provide a suite of communications services, including website, Facebook and email platform management.
Outcome: Over 12 months, website traffic is up +50%, Facebook followers +35%, and email engagement rates are at 15-17%, well above their prior 7-8% range.
Reports & guides
Challenge: University of New South Wales needed a writer with university and researcher experience for their annual SDG report.
Solution: Over a two month schedule, I received rolling briefs for each SDG and wrote up 8-16 mini research stories per SDG. This included headings, intro copy, pull out stats, highlights and quotes.
Outcome: UNSW asked me to write the report for a second year in a row.
Articles & newsletters
Challenge: I identified a potential story on secondhand EVs. Were prices falling to affordable levels?
Solution: I pitched the idea to Money Magazine and got the green light. I then spoke to the country’s leading motoring experts and performed extensive desktop research. The final in-depth article features a comparison of secondhand EV ownership costs to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
Outcome: The editor loved the story and the story re-appeared on Sunrise Breakfast (Ch7) within two weeks.

Media & PR
Challenge: The clinical research centre I worked for published research I identified as having media potential.
Solution: I booked time with the researchers to ask them about their research, and together we drafted up the media release. I then worked with the central marketing team to finalise the release on the University’s website and confirm contact workflows.
Outcome: A story based on the media release appeared on ABC News online and in alternative media.
Challenge: Bridge NSW was launching a new offering: two Monday online leagues. They needed to get the word out and attract players.
Solution: I ran a comms plan across all channels two months out from the event, and during and immediately after each season. I designed flyers and a brand that would appeal to members, and re-purposed content to remind our community at every opportunity.
Outcome: Attendance levels are up +20-40% year on year.
Campaigns & strategy
Challenge: A CEO approached me about improving his personal brand on LinkedIn and attracting more followers.
Solution: I met the CEO weekly to review posts and discuss potential post topics. I then created a post column summary and potential schedule. I draft posts, design post images, and execute the post on his behalf.
Outcome: In just under one year, his post engagement levels have tripled (to 3.5%) and he has more +20% more followers.
